Laura Severtson - "Autumn Silk"

From today's field trip:  1/5 shutter, f/14, ISO 100.  The toughest part for me was (again) not blowing out the white of the water.  Also, it was more difficult than I thought it would be to get everything in focus, considering I used a tripod.  Perhaps there's something to that remote shutter thingy after all - I'll have to dig it out next time!

  1. Very pretty photo. I like how the red contrasts against the white waterfall. The waterfall is indeed silky. I also see the shininess of the rocks.

  2. addendum to previous note - Did you like your Costco tripod?

    1. Yes, indeed, I do like the tripod, Linda. Barbra pointed out that when I get a heavier (i.e., better) lens, I will need a more sturdy tripod, but for what I'm doing now, it's a big improvement over my previous tripod. Taller, with more flexibility in the head.
